There’s a moment between seasons where menus can go either way. Lean too far into summer, and it feels early. Stay too comfortable, and it feels stale.
Aptly named the Bridge Between Seasons, this drink lives right in that space.
2022 US Barista Champion Morgan Eckroth built it around our Marion Blackberry Pourable Fruit. Marionberries are a Pacific Northwest original; developed right here in Oregon, tart and earthy and a little wild. They don't need much help. But a little pineapple juice for brightness, bergamot for something floral you can't quite name, saline to sharpen the edges, and vanilla to smooth them back out — and suddenly you have something that feels like it was always supposed to exist.
It's a cold brew drink. It takes a few minutes to make. It tastes like you put a lot more thought into it than that.
That's kind of the idea.
