Blackberry Apple Pie

Blackberry Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 cans Oregon Fruit Products Blackberries, drained
  • 2/3 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated Lemon Peel
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups pared, diced Tart Apples
  • Pastry for 2 Pie Crusts
  • 1 tablespoon Butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Mix together sugar, flour, cinnamon, lemon peel and salt. Add fruit and toss lightly.
  3. Line 9-inch pie pan with half of pastry. Place filling in pastry lined pan; dot with butter.
  4. Roll out remaining pastry and place over filling. Slash top crust in 3 or 4 places to allow steam to escape; seal and crimp edges.
  5. Bake 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and filling begins to bubble.
