Plum Crisp

Ingredients

  • 2 cans Oregon Fruit Products Whole Purple Plums, drained, pitted and quartered
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 3/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 3/4 cup packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Walnuts
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) Cold Butter, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray a glass loaf pan with nonstick spray.
  3. Combine plums, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon in the loaf pan.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine flour with brown sugar, walnuts, and salt.
  5. Use a pastry cutter to cut in the butter to a coarse-crumb texture. Spoon over plum mixture. Bake for approximately 30 minutes until the top is golden brown and plums are bubbly.
  6. Serve warm topped with French vanilla or vanilla bean ice cream lightly dusted with ground ginger.
